Mr. Kaiser has served in the steel industry since he was 19 years old, initially working as an ironworker on many projects including SkyTrain Millennium Line, Syncrude UE-1 expansion project, Neptune Terminals (N. Vancouver) new coal return lines and DSI Systems (post tensioning of concrete structures).
Before joining SKC Siu Engineering, Mr. Kaiser spent six years catering to the oil sands and their vendors. He has extensive knowledge in the fabrication and welding processes of heavy-duty attachments for machines such as Komatsu, John Deere, Caterpillar and Link belt. He has worked on many hydraulic systems and electrical operations. He has experience with thermal induction heating systems and is familiar with their usage and control software.
Mr. Kaiser is a lean manufacturing certified Greenbelt and is both knowledgeable and experienced in the utilization and implementation of these methodologies. He also has extensive training in failure analysis of welds and structures and has worked as a Quality Control Supervisor and is familiar with ISO 9000 and its regulations.
As a welding inspector for SKC Siu Engineering, Mr. Kaiser has been on assignment with the Department of National Defense. His duties include visual weld inspections, welder performance qualifications and documentation and creation of internal databases for welding related documents.
Mr. Kaiser is currently the Business Development Manager at SKC SIU Engineering Ltd.
Mr. Kaiser is also vice-chair of American Welding Society BC section as of 2010. |
